I’ve switched to trying to improve an older build of mine, and was planning on using the Nemesis mechanic to upgrade a number of 0LP uniques that I have, but it seems like Nemesis doesn’t show up in as many echoes as they used to. I’ve probably just run 15 echoes without a single appearance.
I know we switched from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, but I thought Harbingers was 1.1, so I would’ve expected their appearance rate to be the same for all 1.1.x patches.
So did something change, or am I just having an extremely unlucky few days?
Go to Temporal sanctum, there you could find 2 nemesis per floor! So 4 nemesis per sanctum, also free exiled mages. Fastest way to farm nemesis for me.
To more specifically answer OP’s post. Yes, the Nemesis spawn rate was nerfed, I believe in one of the first hotfixes after this recent event released. Perhaps in the first hotfix, I think I read it.
This is wrong. In fact, Nemesis spawn rates has actually been increased since 1.1 original launch.
All other changes were for preventing high level characters to farm Nemesis in lower level areas.
What??? How did you get that from what F0lk said?
The only thing they nerfed was not letting you load the same campaign zone over and over to farm Nemesis, nothing else. Nemesis still shows up all the time during the campaign and you can still farm him in monos.
Yep, quite literally all the time. Usually circled by 4-5 lizards…
At this stage I really, really wish they would implement a full campaign skip for the people who want it, and stop bloating it and, difficulty-wise, watering it down for those who actually want to play.
At the very least, nemesis should have a minimum spawning level, something like 30 or 40. That would still be an enormous power-creep compared to pre-nemesis, when the first exalted dropped around 55 (and that was quite rare), but not quite as silly as having legendaries at level 10, making the whole campaign entirely pointless.
I see a lot less nemesis in echoes than in the campaign, that makes them more interesting. They also become considerably less strong, except the egg.
I cant even understand, why you can find the best items in low level content.
So far i know, 99% of all uniques can drop in non-empored monos.
I hope they will change this.
The character I was working on was an older build that I worked on months ago. It was unable to do empowered monos but I kept leveling it while trying to improve gear, and hoping that getting the extra passives and skill points would enable me to do empowered monos. So now that character is overleveled for non-empowered monos, which is exactly what F0lk said.
Haven’t had time to play in a week or so, too many things going on IRL, but I may have to try Temporal Sanctum then, because the last time I played I cleared 10-15 echos without seeing a single one. And I mean cleared the whole echo, not just complete the objective and leave.
I can see how you might get that, but the change was simply for campaign, not monos.
So Nemesis still shows up in campaign, you just can’t keep farming them over and over again, since they will eventually stop showing up in that area.
Probably just bad luck. They should have a better spawn rate, I think. Anyway, the Nemesis isn’t guaranteed to show. It’s usually more effective to just rush the echo and eventually one will show up closer to you.
But, as far as I know, nothing has changed for Nemesis other than the 1.1.2 patch which actually increased the spawn rate by 15%.
