I’ve used plenty of Refines and Shapings on weapons since they’re in a weird spot where many builds only really care about 2 affixes.
I agree that there’s a big imbalance in the usefulness of the runes/glyphs. The only ones I ever come close to running out of are Hope and Shattering + the super rare ones.
Ah, perhaps. But I’ve never been in a spot where having % chance to inflict one of the ailments wasn’t a better choice than gambling on implicts. :\
The true gamble is using shaping and refinement first
Yeah, that’s kind of how I feel about despairs as well. Use it right off the bat, and see it eat up too much FP to really go far with the craft? Or wait til the end, and there’s not enough FP left to despair and raise the new affix. :\
Glyph of despair at least works great as a targeted Rune of Removal on low level affixes. Haven’t really got the chance to go for sealing an affix I actually want though
I love the crafting system. I think it rocks in the beginning until midgame, but endgame it’s kinda rough. The chances of getting a good exalted upgrade is slim to a point where you almost fear crafting the ones that drop. A little more potential would be nice. And please do something to balance glyphs and runes. For example make it so we can do trade-ins for glyphs and runes (especially glyph of order and rune of removal). Having 10-20 times more glyph of chaos than glyph of order is kinda annoying.
