You did not provide me with anything because all you gave me were opinions, not facts. YOu can give me your opinions on it all you want, but the definition of opinion is that it’s not a fact. And only facts are objective.
EDIT: A fact is something that is demonstrably true and leaves no grounds for doubt. Anything that isn’t demonstrably true is always subjective by definition. It might be more or less subjective, but is subjective nonetheless. Only facts are objective.
Anyway, there is no point in discussing this further. You won’t change your opinion anyway and it’s not relevant to the OP.
You really started it, though, and went off topic after you picked apart one thing I said in the comments section like a bird’s beak when you chimed in and said,
That statement you made is wrong. That statement just by itself you made is wrong.
It was an over-generalizing, over-reaching statement you made and that had absolutely nothing to do with the OP (at least we agree on that regarding this matter going off topic).
people can have opinions but people sometimes state facts.
knowing to differentiate the two is important in communication.
as for opinions being subjective or objective. opinions can be stated as objective BUT it does not mean they are fact. its a very semantic sort of thing where stating an objective opinion simply means you’re giving an opinion that you try your best to make it unbiased.
the reality is subjectivity/objectivity of an opinion is just all word play. just because i state “in my objective opinion”, it doesnt necessarily mean that my opinion is unbiased. it just means i think it’s an unbiased opinion.
and in the grand scheme of things, opinions tend to almost always be subjective.
