If I use evade very close to using a different ability, it will frequently repeat itself even though I press the button only once. Sometimes it makes me roll backwards to where I originally came from before the first roll.

In Offline and True Offline - this is a known bug that the team is working hard to pin down and fix. The best thing to do if this is Online or Offline mode, is to submit In Game Bug Reports when the issue occurs. The data attached to those helps the team investigate.
