Drop rates Cof

It never will be.

As a cof player i do agree cof does need to be brought more in line with MG.

Reason is CoF isnt SSF point of CoF is to not punish players that do not want to trade. Or feel forced to trade. I stopped playing this cycle due to not making anymore gear progression.

The grind for ur gear in CoF should still be a thing. Bringing CoF just a bit more in line with MG gearing progression will just make it CoF a bit better.

Ya old-school basically how I feel altho I never played merchants guild I’m sure it’s fun in its own way .
Maybe it’s not meant to be parallel to mg.

But ya I just posted a topic dismantling uniques for a new kind of favor in suggestions
Maybe that’s the solution because it’s kinda similar to trading with yourself . But instead your trading to an npc to dismantle hi tier uniques for unique favor .

I played MG at the start of this cycle as one that likes trading in these games wasnt a fan of how MG works.

Its not. There is how ever room to make cof better drop wise especially late end game

Ya Cof to endgame felt great just missing something from the endgame grind.

please read the first paragraph in the topic, and read slower as you get closer to the end.

then you may link a video that indicates a single boss exclusive item dropping from a prophecy.

you’re not, you are trolling.

you came to a CoF topic and basically said ‘dont use CoF’.
then posted a video showing uniques drop from the CoF prophecies which dont include boss exclusive uniques, and the first paragraph in the topic clearly indicates boss farming.

Lol ya maybe a tad bit of trolling but I’m a good sport .

I’m not an arpg god or anything I played poe got to lvl 100 with 1 character then came over to last epoch to try it out .
Chose standard for Poe but really wanted to do ssf but the crafting system was so convoluted it wasn’t gonna be friendly for my first run .

But last epoch has been amazing in the sense my first character was Cof and it’s gone great :+1: even had good luck with my slams .

But let’s just say if something is a 1 % drop that means I’ll have to grind the boss 100 times for the drop and if it takes me 7-10 monoliths to get to a boss that’s pretty rare , but then add it having lp 1 if I’m lucky to actually slam with 1/4 chance to succeed and if it bricks my build with an item I don’t need then I start all over again . I don’t exactly know how it works additive to boss drops with multipliers from corruptions if you do then please let me know .
I’m at almost 400 corruption ATM and 300 + on few other time lines.

It just feels like such a massive wall because it’d be cooler if I could get doubles or triples of the same unique lp 1s and have other useful slams in them to test or shift build ideas .
Aka have a set slammed with int maybe another set with cooldown etc

But every opportunity is hours gone but it goes from constant upgrades to a end game wall where gameplay jumps from hour or two for a nice exalted upgrade to hours and hours for a chance at a upgrade with less build variety options cause the drops don’t come as often as the exalts do to slam into.

This is not how RNG works.

1% is the chance it will drop u could end up killing this boss 200 times before it drops

Haha no your definitely right! but I was just doing 1% in 100 times for an example obviously it’s rng and you could in theory kill the boss alot more then that.

is that with or without dilution?

when it is 1% and the only item dropped, 100 times should almost guarantee you get it.
when it is 1% and the boss drops 3 items, thats a whole different story.

I see so thats.how the drops are working in last epoch ?
If I’m grinding for a rare drop and it’s 1% It might also be compounding because it’s sharing a table with other loot items ? If so that a bit unmotivating

thats how every loot game works.

more items in the table = less chance to get specific items = more play time.

the most powerful usually being weighted lower, so you have less chance to get them and you grind more.

Not quit sure what ir getting at.

1% is the chance it has to drop. If u kill a boss 100 times ur not guaranteed the item will even drop at 100 kills.

Same with 25% chance. U may end up killing a boss 6 times before it drops.

I was trying to point out ur nott guaranteed this item will drop after 100 kills. Which is what was being said by the person i quoted

I’m not trolling. Maybe you need to reread OP’s first post, because he specifically said “I just wish I could actually grind slam fail repeat more often then just like grind grind grind grind grind find slam fail .” … That’s why I responded. That’s why I suggested he try MG. If his wish is to get more of the exact drops he needs, so that he can continue to make legendaries, there is a very simple solution, and that is joining MG.

Don’t assume intent. I’m not a troll. I genuinely posted here to help OP make his wish come true.

If he is a die-hard COF fan, like some of the other responders here, that’s cool, you can ignore my suggestion guys.

By the way, I thought prophecies could increase the chance of boss drops, since there are dungeon prophecies that provide uniques. I didn’t know that prophecies only help random drops.

Again, don’t assume intent lol

Yes, CoF not being able to influence boss drops (other than directly via rank bonuses) seems like one of the biggest oversights for this faction.
You could argue that CoF, is certainly close enough for its intent for getting pretty much everything, while not being quite as good as MG, except for boss drops where they are way way behind.
