Could you guys please add an in-game option to change the color of the cursor? I play on geforce now, so yolomouse doesn’t work for me. It’s sometimes tough to see the default brown cursor. An option to control color would be very helpful.
Sorry, we are unable to fulfill this request at this time. I know that sounds crazy but this is probably the best example of “it’s not as easy as it looks” that I can think of.
Since I change my monitor to a 4k resolution. I have the same problems here.
Sometimes I can’t see where my mouse cursor is going.
I understand this can be very difficult, but please put this on your schedule
We would if we could.
If I could dig a little more, but why not? Doesn’t the game already uses a custom cursor graphic? Maybe not have it be dynamically scaling, but would it even be possible to have small, medium, large, x-large cursor graphics, in 4 or 5 different colors to pick from?
I haven’t attempted to implement it myself so I can’t get into the specific technical detail that prevents this. We have attempted to implement this a couple times and there is an issue that we hit with how the game, engine and operating system interact that there is no way to modify the cursor image at all within that build. So we can’t modify the size, shape or sprite at all.
Well afaik the devs said Yolomouse is okay as a third party tool and you can get it for free on github iirc.
Apparently that’s not an option
Fair enough. Weird limitation, though. TeknawlogiesFourTehWeen!
Ah missed that lol. I’m not that well these days ^^.
The game auto updates the size of the cursor based on the operating system settings of Win11. I can’t test on another operating system to say everyone can do this. This was a free option that helped me out. Maybe it will help others to know this could work. Within the settings/accessibility/mouse pointer it allows for the cursor size to change.
Bumping the cursor size up slightly may work for both the game and out so it does not need to be changed frequently. You can make it enormous within the Window settings and it duplicates it in game. The color remains the same though.
I don’t currently use Yolo, but as mentioned, the Windows (10 in my case) mouse size options do help. Shame it doesn’t help with the map overlay colors on bright background maps.
Windows also lets you change the cursor color.
Oh sweet. Never thought to try that. Many thanks, my friend!
This is true however, the color change does not affect the LE cursor (except maybe the small center which can barely be seen anyway). The size however does work it. It is a great way to keep track of the pointer.
