Chronophages idol (increased echo damage) not working with abbyssal echoes skill and shield rush 'echoes of the charge' node

Neither the Temporal Echo/Abyssal Cadence nodes nor the Echoes of the Charge node are echoes as far as the Void Knight’s echo mechanic is concerned, despite the names. The Void Knight’s echo mechanic has a % chance to repeat the skill that proc’d it, whereas the nodes you mention give a guaranteed recast/repeat. The echo mechanic can only be employed by a Void Knight, whereas those nodes can be chosen by Forge Guards/Paladins.

A recast is not an echo.

Additionally, as Shield Rush is a movement skill, it can’t be echoed. Due to a bug whereby instant skills can’t be echoed (which I don’t think has been fixed yet), if the Mental Echo node was taken for Abyssal Echoes, that would make it not be capable of being echoed.

Also, some of the Sentinel’s idols don’t work:

idols with +void damage after skill echo such as: [image] are not providing the damage bones after a skill echos.

Edit: I don’t think it’s particularly good choice of terms since echo, repeat and recast all have very similar meanings, so I’m not surprised you think the idol should interact with those nodes.
