Created a new character, cannot type letter “Z” into character name field.
Tried on US Qwerty, Dvorak, Albanian Qwertz, and French Azerty layouts (four different keys, so it is not a physical defect, and I can type Z outside of game with no problem).
Pressing the button that should type Z instead deselects the character name text box and highlights the “Continue” button.
Controller was connected at the time, though not being used.
Hmm, I don’t know why that’s happening for you. I’m able to type Z into the Character Name field just fine. What is Z bound to in your input settings? Can you post your log file after this happens?

I’ll try verifying integrity of the game files in the meantime.
Edit: Verification was fine.
And Z is bound to “Toggle Overlay Map”. I unbound this, and I could thereafter name my character Zanzibar successfully. So I guess that was it. Weird, that.
