The affix reduce throwing attack mana cost does not work on burning dagger. Test method hit the dummy without the equipment:7 to 8 mana cost. Equip 2 ring with the affix and hit the dummy, still use up 7-8 mana cost. Strangely the tooltip mp cost itself updated to only cost 2 mana after equipping the -mana cost items, but in practice it does nothing.
This is because Burning Daggers don’t actually cost mana, they consume it which is handled differently. If the tooltip for it is reducing using anything other than the node that follows it, that’s a different issue and if you have a screenshot of that showing it would be good to post that.
That mana consumption being different from mana cost for skill trigger felt like a convoluted mechanic that will confuse people. My feedback would be to add in the tooltip of the skill node itself that it is not affected by mana cost reduction affix.
Additionally, the tooltip have the misleading 8 cost tagged under the mana cost box. And using 2 ring with mana cost reduction reduce it to 2 as per screenshot in the zip below. separate note on why an image can’t be uploaded?
