Building a Better Last Epoch: Our Commitment to Quality

i only remember one issue i had from my playtime in this season:
we got that cool new lightning conversion for shatter strike, you know what got completly missed? the +level affix for shatter strike didn`t get updated to work with lightning.
how do you push a conversion into your release without checking if your skill related affix supports that playstyle?
scrolling through the patch notes since release, seems it still didnt get fixed. i wouldnt even put this as a scaling issue, it just shows a lack of care for something that was quite central in the mage part of the update (at least in my mind, it was central).

My biggest issue is a lack of clarity. Character sheet doesn’t show everything appropriately, dps calculations are wildly inaccurate, don’t work for minions, and I can’t check the numbers for ailments when they are scaled .

My biggest issue regarding the skill&passive system is that some skills just don’t scale well enough to be playable into the late game.
I think the skill I ran into this issue with the most is Shuriken when transformed into Chakrams.
Shuriken have always relied on external support to be a viable offensive skill. It used to be Synchronized strike to get at least something out of it, now it’s Bladestorm. The issue, however, is, that Chakrams sacrifice basically everything that makes Shuriken good (the Aoe, the rapid application of debuffs) and does not gain enough to justify it. Charkams are too slow to use, and even with the damage buff gained from Keen Throw it just doesn’t hit like it would need to.

Most other problems are more connected to items, but I will just note that the Cinder Strikes Tree is a hot mess as well - I think there’s a reason why barely anyone even tries to play with it outside of buffing burning daggers (every time I try to make Falcon Fists work, more on that when items are being discussed, I just don’t see a way to invest in it correctly)

frankly I don’t understand how anybody ranks skills being bad over skills straight up not doing what they say. The number of skills and passives that straight up just don’t work is honestly baffling and I can’t even begin to recommend buffing skills before just making sure that everything they already have is working as intended.

This issue of things just not working/doing what they say extends beyond just skills. So many items just straight up don’t work and it’s incredibly frustrating to see an item that says one thing, spend countless hours preparing a build based around that item or combination of items and have it just not work at all because the item launched broken. Even more frustrating is for that item to only get fixed over half a year later and be nerfed more heavily than the strongest working builds of the previous season.

It’s genuinely incredibly frustrating to get excited about a season and specifically excited about a build you’re going to work on in that season only to have the build just not work due to bugs and then not have those bugs fixed for half a year. If you’re going to kill player favoring interactions mid season, I don’t see why you can’t do us the decency of fixing bugs that hurt or invalidate player builds.

If you want your feedback to be effective it would probably be a good idea to get specific, since that sounds like a severe issue. And on a more personal note since I’ve not happened upon a single situation like that this season I’d be very curious to know examples of this.
