Like the title says, I played for like 10min and then I alt f4ed and now that character is gone. My save file is still there but it just says EPOCHNUL and NUL is highlighted white (I’m using notepad++).

Usually using Alt-f4 to close an application/game bypasses the games ability to shutdown properly causing any number of problems. Applications & games need to be able to release resources like memory, close files that are opened etc… Alt-f4 stops all of this and to the OS its almost as if the application crashed… Its not like mobile apps…
In this instance you probably caused the game to do an incomplete write to the savegame file and effectively corrupted the save.
I doubt there is anything you can do… You may even need to find the savegame of the character in question and delete it manually else it could cause issues if the game tries to load it again.
