Face Tanking Uber Aberroth - Judgement

See video below (no exploits) - just good ole fashioned OP judgement. I only dodge the necrotic slashes due to resistance shred. Tanking everything else including slams and pizza beams.

Circle of Fortune. Gear could probably be improved (especially belt).

Defensive Layers to achieve this:

  • 3600 health pool
  • 5000 ward (On stationary single target and not in standing in large DOTs). Helpful for timeshatter slam.
  • 1393 endurance threshold.
  • 60% endurance + additional 30% endurance reduction if hit recently by a large hit (gloves)
  • 26% of hit damage taken as DOT over 4 seconds (gloves)
  • ~20% less damage of all types (body armor + overcapped resistances)
  • 46% reduction to all hits (100% block chance + 1731 block effectiveness)
  • 27% reduction to all DOTs (31% of block effectiveness, or 536, applies to DOTs from shield)
  • 82% reduction physical hits / 57% non-physical hits (16376 armor @3 divine blessings and 20 Throne of Ambition stacks)
  • 34% reduction to physical DOTs / 24% non-physical DOTs (42% of armor mitigation applies to DOTs)
  • 7% less damage taken (relic)
  • 33% less DOT damage taken (boots w/ perma-haste)
  • 98% reduced extra damage from crits
  • 9% reduced damage on every hit (shield + 100% block chance)
  • 10% less damage taken (sentinel node Armour [sic] Clad)
  • 5% less physical and void damage (Void Knight Abyssal Endurance)
  • 15% less DOT damage taken (3 divine essences)
  • 26% less damage taken (Bolster in Vengeance tree)
  • 10% less void and necrotic damage taken (healing hands)
  • 18% less damage (Fraility)
  • ~2.5 cleanses per second (roughly every .4seconds looking at video)
  • On-demand cleanse (if not just auto-casting Holy Aura)
  • 1083% healing effectiveness (A massive amount of healing from both consecrated ground and healing hands)
  • 446 health regen per second (if equipped with blessing, video was accidently recorded with wrong mana blessing instead)
  • 2.9% spell leech (a lot) + 1.9% melee leech (negligible) with 25% increased leech rate
  • Full resistances
  • Probably some others I forgot

So yeah… there is a lot of defensive layers.

Note, I did the fight like normal in progression with actual mechanics before I got immortal vise+shattered worlds. Original fight took me like 20 minutes until I improved gear to where I am now.

Looks awesome! Very nicely done for CoF.

I hope to do this w/ a primalist build and a rogue build I’m cooking up. It probably won’t happen, or at least not soon, as I’m also CoF and pmuch a noob, so getting the right gear might take me a while. xD

so it’s not afk face tanking, sigh

and what do you mean AFK lol, you obviously hitting him to stack ward. Cmon.

  1. its not afk
  2. you are not tanking all abilities

Try again

Very interesting stuff. Unfortunately the title is clickbait.

btw, is it ok to play with Countenance of Majasa coz this shit stun you and you die?

What do you mean? It petrifies enemies, it doesn’t stun you.

Fair criticism. I removed AFK from title. Once you get him trapped against the wall you can use numlock trick and go AFK until he’s below 50%. Same once he moves to the middle. You need to actively dodge necrotic slashes between 30%-50%.

It stuns the enemy. It will actually interrupt their abilities. You can see this happen in the above video at 1:08 timestamp. It’s a really good shield as its super easy to farm 2LP, it comes with block effectiveness, DOT mitigation, and the base type of Ironglass Shield lets get block capped (35% base, T7 slam of 25 or 26%, 3% from sentinel tree, 8% from paladin tree, 18% from symbols+effectiveness on tree, 8% from blessing… then an extra 2-3% either from three points in paladin or forge or a ring or glove suffix.)

It’s also a really good shield because it makes part of your Block DR apply to DoTs, and it’s the only shield in the game that does it.

Very nice. Face tanking bosses is my favourite playstyle

By the way, a very helpful tip to any players on Uber Aberroth that I haven’t ever seen a single guide mention. The lasers from the middle have a memory. They repeat in the same spots as where they shot earlier (this includes in the final phase). So if you fight Abberoth only in the top/bottom the ā€œremembered lasersā€ will always be up/down and not to the side. You can still get new lasers in the final phase that will start going left/right, but it drastically cuts down on the chaos of the last phase.

If you watch my playthrough you’ll see the lasers in the final phase are almost exclusively north/south except for new ones that spawn in last phase.

Nowadays it’s still fashionable to stick ā€œautobomberā€ everywhere. I don’t think this is even clickbait. People are just going crazy…It’s probably all due to poor nutrition…

ā€œAFKā€ was in the title even though he was dodging. Thankfully it was edited out. I think that qualifies as clickbait.

yes, I caught this moment. I’m just a little bit burned by YouTube littered with ā€œAFK autobombersā€. Recently I even argued with one citizen who called a build ā€œautobomberā€ that actively uses 2 buttons to deal damage. Buttons that are impossible to put even on NumLock. I didn’t achieve anything, the person continues to sincerely believe that this is ā€œautoā€.

Lol. Yeah, it’s out of control.

Added in defensive layers list. Also put in a new build planner since the one I originally had didn’t have blessings.
