Advise about filter creating (coop)

Hello everyone. We are pretty new in terms of this game.
As we are playing together only, what we decided it’s to pick Merchant guild, for trading and best online experience.

However, there is a problem: we don’t have much experience with endgame in this title. Playing as Primalist and Mage, around 45-ish level right now, the amount of drops is enormous.
As we try to play with our class fantasy in mind (frost mage and breakfast beast master with bear/wolves) it’s bit hard to create own filter that doesn’t disable some potentialy profitable drops, useful items etc. Especially when we don’t even know the things we need to aim yet, as so far the game is easy to not to care too much.

So far what I did is the filter with some rules. But I’m not convinced if that will work on the long run.

From 30lv onwards I set the rule to see all the items above rare grade (+all idols with coloring the best stats for us).
Yet, I’m not sure if the late settings are ok or surreal.

Separately for both of us I set rules like recolor of weapons/armors/accessories with 2* T3 or more, then for T4+ (*2, *3, *4)… and then I realized that I’m with 50 rules, don’t see any drops, that I miss “level to Swipe/Wolf/etc” items this way (as they can be useful even as T1, which is hidden.

In short: a lot of work and now I’m feeling that everything is for vain. Tried to set up Rax’s filter to our needs but it looks like up to 60 there is nothing restricted in terms of rares… saying that everything feels overwhelming is not enough

To the meritum: what I would like to ask you are some advises regarding the leveling and late game filter. I would live to build something by myself, so both of us can use it, exchange between us, and later sell the stuff on bazaar.

Thank you very much, even for a small bit of advise.
I’m sorry for that long post, and overcomplicating things.

Maybe this will help?
[1.2] Heavy’z Casual Loot Filters for all Classes v5.1 Updated with New Unique Rule

I would not recommend my Filter for anything regarding Merchant Guild.

I think the most simple yet effective filter for your own build that requires very little setup would be:

  1. Highlight/Recolor any class affixes that are potentially useful for your build. items that are affected by this need a short evaluation and if they are bad just try Rune of Removal/Rune of Shattering to get these rare shards
  2. Highlight/Recolor all idol affixes that are potentially useful for your build
  3. Hide Weapon Types you are not going to use (e.g. if you are a Melee Build withotu any spell scaling, hide Staves, Wands, Scepteres and Off-Hand Catalysts
  4. Make a rule including all class and generic affixes that are usefull for your build and set this rule have “Total affix tier of X” This affix tier can be raised over time and for example when you set it to 6, it will only show exated affixes or items with at least 2 affixes (because an individual affix can only have 5 tiers if its not exalted)

With both the 1. and 2. rule try to be not too strict early and in case you are unsure and then over time when you learn more about your character and build you can make these rules more strict.
Rule 4 needs to be constantly evaluated and if you feel you find too much trash that is not worth crafting on raise the Total Affix Tier.

Later you can add rules to fitler out sub types you are not interested in and but them before the Rule No. 4, but below No.1, because for Rule No.1 you don’t necessarily care about the sub type if you just want the shards.

I actually missed the part where he said he wanted to sell stuff at the bazaar.

Thank you very much for all the advises given.

Indeed, putting (for now) 40 rules related to two classes only was very overwhelming to the point I couldn’t find the golden point anymore.

The guide about 4-rules is very useful for me, thank you. From filter I can learn a bit about how it should look in the end, too, so I’m grateful for linking it!
