A Study in time - missing quest item

When you go in the ruined era to find the crest on the dead guy, you can’t find the crest in the room so the quest can’t be finished.

Thought I was going crazy, same here. Thought the quest had changed somehow, but it was pointing me to that direction.

Can confirm this quest is bugged.
There is no quest indicator or item i can interact with when travelling in the ruined era.
