[1.2] Heavy'z Casual Loot Filters for all Classes v5.1 Updated with New Unique Rule

Yeah, after reading the whole reddit thread he shared, I figured the same. This specific suggestion have nothing to do with the Havoc runes, as that entire guide revolves around finding a Tier 7 first, so those are a given with your filter already.

There’s something that might be worth considering to add a rule for, though. Not specifically suggesting to add it to your filters, just saying as general good piece of knowledge to have.
Runes of Havoc are very powerful crafting tools, that can completely turn a trash item into a godly one. But I don’t know if would be feasible, or how much effort it would take you to do. Dunno if it would take a rule for each class or if a more broad general rule would suffice.

Anyways, in that guide, he teaches that the most optimal way of working with a Rune of Havoc is by starting off with a 7-1-1-1 (or 10 less total affixes) item. So having a rule like this could be a huge improvement on a filter for anyone trying to take advantage of said runes.

Yes that is one of the things I am still thinking about if and how I would implement that.

Because a natural T10 with T7 would directly work. A T7 with T1 T1 woudl work with a rune of discovery.
But a T7 with T2 T2 and empty affix slot would just work as well, you just need to craft twice and hope no crit happens.

But those are incomaptible with one singular rule, so this would lead to making multiple rules for one specific crafting case, which needs explaining. And having a rule that needs in-depth explanations is not useful for the most users that are using my Filter anyway.

This is the eternal struggle of a One-Size-Fits all format, you simply can’t do it. I can only try to get as close as possible while remaining useful without any further setup requriements.

Big News from todays patch

This allows filtering for multiple different Uniques with ONE SINGLE RULE.
This a huge and will allow me to highlight a couple of the very very rare uniques without needing to sacrifice other rules.

A update for my filters will come within the next few days.

You just need to create one new rule.

Condition: Unique
And then select from a list of uniques. The top contenders for this would be Ravenous Void (Gloves), Orian’s Eye(Amulet) and Red Ring of Atlaria (Ring).

Sure but for new players it would be cool if this was set up from the start. They dont know whats rare, usefull etc.
Me? I am just too lazy… and usually watch every item that goes thrrouuu… which I am a bit tired now after 1.2 in cof. It drops simply too much items! Nerf would be much welcome… but u know… people would cry :smiling_face_with_tear:

Highlights:

  • Added a rule to highlight very rare Uniques. The Current List of all Uniques that I put in this rule is as follows: Ravenous Void, Red Ring of Atlaria, Orian’s Eye, Jungle Queen’s Chaps of Holding, Omnividence, Bastion of Honour, Paranoia, Oceareon, Salt the Wound and Death’s Embrace
    Feel free to give me feedback on this, because I have to draw the line somewhere and I know some of these are way more exciting then others because Rarity does not equal power or popularity.
  • Adjusted the Rule for Uniques that you want to stand out. Rule is still disabled by default but just needs to be enabled and all Uniques you want to see highlighted need to be selected.
  • Added a Highlight Rule for Hybrid Health (one of the rarest affixes in the game, that is also very strong and popular)
  • I have completely updated and reviewed the OG post with more up to date screenshots and explanations of what the filter actually does

Other changes:

  • Merged Personal and Champion Items into one rule. Personal Affixes stop dropping later in the game and this is purely for saving an unncessary rule
  • Removed some of the generic Hide Low Level Base Type rule. This will lead to a slightly worse filtering early game, but offers more rules to be used for customization.
  • Added Heartseeker Affixes to the rogue gear affix rules
  • Added a new optional rule that needs to be selected and adjusted to hide weapon types you don’t want to see
  • Removed the optional Rule to Show All Class-Specific Relics
  • Updated optional recolor rules for alts with some missing affixes

You should also have a boss uniques rule. Any unique with random drop:Rare or higher should be concidered as rare enough(see the item database).

Also when looking at your mage filter, there is a TON of hide rules for bases at the boitom of the filter, I understand the point is to save us some time when making the filter, but it ends up being almost the maximum number of rules

Also mage filter is missing hide normal/magic/rare/set/unique as the last rule.

That rule is not something I am using at all, because my filter does not show/highlight everything, unless setup in that way.

I’ll take it into consideration, but bosses usually only drop a few uniques and manually checking them isn’t too much of a hassle I would say.

Yes all of my filters do that, and I mainly did it because I have enough rules for it and make very low base types not showign anymore.

The problem is that all classes and item types have different level threshold for new base types start dropping so a generic rule doesn’t cut it.

That is why I am thinking of boss drops as a separate rule from random drops.

In the case of random drops the item database actually has them listed as common/uncommon/rare/very rare/extremely rare

common and uncommon are appearing so often as to not be worth looking at without the LP.
